free should be worth paying for ... [đU]
Letâs talk about the freebies in your business.
Chances are youâve heard âgive away your best stuffâ ⊠or at least stuff that has value.
Why would you give away stuff you can get paid for?
Itâs your first impression
& you only ever get one of those
So why not make it a great one?
That sets a standard
If your free stuff is better than someone elseâs paid stuff, potential clients wonder,
âif this is free ⊠how much better is the paid stuff?â
All that value builds trust
Something you need before anyone gives you money
So itâs also making âsellingâ a lot easier
That all sounds good ⊠but youâre thinking âŠ
âif I give away too much, they wonât need to buy from meâ
or
âI spent a lot of time & money learning this. I should get paid for itâ
or
âbig-name creators can afford to give value away but I canâtâ
I thought all the same things (& more) when I got started.
& I still have some of those objections living rent-free in my brain
Hereâs some real-world examples of what that looks like âŠ
From one extreme⊠âeverythingâ

everything but the kitchen sink
Alex Hormoziâs next book launch (#3 in his $100M book series) called $100M Money Models happens August 16th
& itâs safe to say heâs throwing everything & the kitchen sink at his freebies
A webinar for the $100M Money Models includes training on the models & when you attend live, thereâs also access to a âspecial projectâ heâs been working on for 4 years
Given his other books brought in over 1 Million people signing up
So what is a money model & why should you care?
A money model gets more customers to spend more money, faster, again & again.
A money model is what takes you from struggling to scaling.
& if you donât have many clientsâŠyet
You can catch up on the other books ($100M Offers & $100M Leads) ⊠also free:
- listen to the book through The Game podcast (you gotta dig a bit through your platform of choice)
- watch the video training on Acquisition.com (no email opt-in)
Why would he do all that for free?
You are not Alexâs ideal client ⊠not yet anyway.
& heâs pretty transparent about it.
He shares all this information with you, hoping you'll implement & scale to where you are his ideal client so you can pay him!
& by helping you achieve your future goals, heâs also showing his ideal client what he can do for them today.
on the other âbare bonesâ extreme âŠ
The team at The 1440 have a worldâs worth of news every day to sift through & strip off opinion so itâs just the facts.
Thereâs no paid option
& thereâs no âup-sellâ into something else

âJust the facts, maâam. Just the facts.â - Joe Friday (Dragnet)
Theyâre spending a lot of time & money learning the facts.
How do they make their money?
Like the âold-schoolâ newspapers, they include ads.
But these ads promote companies on brand
Itâs not just about âhow much can I get for the spaceâ
Your free stuff worth paying for isnât going to be the extremes. Itâs going to fall somewhere in the middle ⊠for now.
Because that 3rd objection âŠ
âbig-name creators can afford to give value away but I canâtâ
is one of the most valid.
They have teams, bigger bank accounts, & a stock pile of examples as they grew.
Youâre just getting started in comparison
& you feel like youâre competing with something they didnât have to âŠ
Everyoneâs talking about how AI makes all this easier so they donât need me, right?
Bottom line ⊠AI is a tool.
& if youâve spent any time talking to me, youâve probably heard me go off on a mini-TEDx Talk on âthe tech needs to be last, never firstâ
You need that strategy in place.
& there needs to be a plan
Then you choose the best tech option to make things more effective & efficient.
Knowing how & when to use it makes things easier.
AI isnât going to replace you.
Itâs going to help you.
TL;DR
Your free stuff should be worth paying for because:
- Itâs your first impression that sets a standard
- & all that value builds trust so itâs also making âsellingâ a lot easier
But your mindâs racing with objections like:
1. âif I give away too much, they wonât need to buy from meâ
2. âI spent a lot of time & money learning this. I should get paid for itâ
3. âbig-name creators can afford to give value away but I canâtâ
Alex Hormozi is a great example of the good that comes from giving âtoo muchâ away
Hereâs the link to register & see it in action with his $100M Money Models book launch August 16th
& you have time to catch up on the other 2 books ($100M Offers & $100M Leads) also free (& no opt-in needed) through his website Acquisition.com
You donât need to âgive it all awayâ
& you donât need to âknow it allâ
But knowing enough about which tech tool to use & when helps you create more value through your âfreebiesâ.
You can help your audience by being just 1 step ahead of where they are now.
& even if youâre at the same place, you can still help by being objective & freeing up their time so they can work ON the business instead of IN it.
Do you feel a bit better about âgiving away your best stuffâ?
Has this given you ideas on what you can do to give value, show your expertise, & make âsellingâ easier?
Make it a great âvalue-filledâ week!
